Brockholes Brow death crash: Sentencing of Mohmed Salman Patel

Rachel Marie Murphy, 23, and Shelby Lauren Maher, 17, died on April 20 2016 in Brockholes Brow. They were hit by a BMW 320 SE driven by Mr Patel, of St Michael's Road, Blackburn. He denied causing death by dangerous driving. An initial trial, at Preston Crown Court, collapsed when the jury could not reach a verdict. On Monday (6 August) Mr Patel was found guilty and will be sentenced by Judge Robert Altham.
