RECAP: News round-up for Monday December 12

Welcome to the Burton Mail's live news blog for Monday, December 12 where we will bring you today's breaking news.

Live: Brentford v Burton Albion

Could today be the day that Burton Albion finally get a victory away from the Pirelli Stadium? They face a stern test in the form of Dean Smith's Brentford, who have lost four games on the bounce but have proven capable of some excellent results this season. The Brewers travel to Brentford off the back of a 2-1 win over Rotherham United last weekend, that being their fifth of the season - all of which have come at home. Their most recent away game at Preston North End resulted in a 1-1 draw, with Jackson Irvine's effort cancelled out on the stroke of half-time. You can follow all of today's action right here on your computer, tablet or mobile. Simply scroll down past the picture below and we will bring you updates throughout the day, including full reaction and analysis post-match as well as team news and all the goals and action.

Live: FA Cup third-round draw, who will Burton Albion get?

For the first time in the club's history, Burton Albion enter the FA Cup at the third-round stage - but who will their first opponents in this year's competition be? Owing to their presence in the Championship, Albion have avoided the early rounds of the world's oldest football competition. They are ball number 11 in tonight's draw, which kicks off at 7pm on BBC Two and BT Sport. Will they face off against one of the Premier League giants, as they did back in 2006 against Manchester United? Or will they themselves become a scalp of a non-league club? Stay with SportMail as we bring you all the news and reaction from the draw. To get in touch, tweet us @BurtonAlbionBM or @JoshuaMurrayBM.

Live: Burton Albion v Rotherham United

Burton Albion return to the Pirelli Stadium to host Rotherham United in the first of their six Championship games in December. The Brewers are without a victory in the league since they triumphed over Gary Rowett's Birmingham City on October 21, while the Millers have picked up just one point on the road all season. After Kenny Jackett resigned on Monday, fitness coach Paul Warne has taken over as caretaker boss at Rotherham - and he will be looking for a spirited response from his side. As Albion look to ease clear of the relegation zone, we'll have all the build-up and team news from the Pirelli, before bringing you live, minute-by-minute text commentary of the clash. Live: Burton Albion reserves v Morecambe reserves

A strong Burton Albion reserves side host Morecambe reserves at St George's Park on Wednesday (1pm). A host of first-team Brewers are named in the starting line-up to take on the Shrimpers, with Lee Williamson, Stuart Beavon, Hamza Choudhury, Tom Flanagan and Will Miller among the XI. Shaun Barker also starts for the Brewers, having last featured for the senior side in the 3-1 defeat to Norwich City on September 24. Albion's reserves were beaten 1-0 by Walsall last time out, while their last home game saw them record an emphatic 4-0 victory over Wrexham. We'll have regular updates from St George's Park to see how Albion's first-team faces get on.

Live: build-up to Reading v Burton Albion

After a fortnight's break, the Championship is back - and Burton Albion are going in search of their first away win of the season with a trip to Reading (3pm). Albion had a mixed run of results during the last sequence of fixtures, winning one, drawing two and losing two, with a goalless draw at home to Barnsley their most recent result. It leaves them 18th in the table ahead of this weekend's games. The Royals, meanwhile, have won their last three Championship games to move into the second-tier play-off spots - and they have lost just once all term at the Madejski Stadium. Can the Brewers end that record and give themselves a boost on the road? Can they overcome the loss of Jamie Ward to injury and Kyle McFadzean to suspension? We'll find out over the next few hours. Burton Albion writers Ashley Wilkinson and Joshua Murray will have all the build-up and team news from the Madejski, before bringing you every key moment from the game. LIve: build-up to Burton Albion v Barnsley

Can Burton Albion send themselves into a third straight international break on a winning note? Nigel Clough and his side will certainly be hoping so when fellow promoted outfit Barnsley arrive at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday (3pm). The Brewers are looking to make it three home Championship wins on the bounce following wins over Cardiff City and Birmingham City. They were beaten 2-0 at Leeds United last time out. The Tykes, meanwhile, have overcome a run of just one point in six games by beating Brentford and drawing with Bristol City in their last two games - they currently sit three points and six places above Albion thanks to a superb first month of the campaign. We'll have all the build-up and team news from the Pirelli as ever, before bringing you minute-by-minute text commentary of the game in the Brewers' only home game of November. To have your say on all things Albion, tweet us @BurtonAlbionBM, @AshWilkinsonBM and @JoshuaMurrayBM.

Live: Leeds United v Burton Albion

Burton Albion go in search of their first away victory in the Championship as they travel to Leeds United (3pm). The Brewers got themselves back to winning ways in fine fashion last weekend, defeating Gary Rowett's Birmingham City at the Pirelli Stadium to move up to 15th in the table. Leeds, meanwhile, are just three points adrift of the play-off places heading into Saturday's action following a 1-0 win over Wolves last time out. Both teams have taken four points from their last three games - and Albion will be intent on making that seven from four as they look to end their Championship duck on the road. We'll bring you all the build-up and team news from Elland Road, before providing live text commentary of the clash.
