It took until the 88th minute for the dominant Seagulls to break through a depleted but resilient Brewers rearguard, Tomer Hemed slotting home from the penalty spot after Jiri Skalak was brought down by stand-in right wing-back Lee Williamson. The Seagulls, meanwhile, ended a run of three games without a win by defeating table-topping Huddersfield Town in midweek.
