Matchday build-up: Burton Albion v Barnsley

Burton Albion go in search of a first win in five - and a timely boost to their promotion hopes - when Barnsley visit the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday (3pm). The Brewers lost 1-0 at Scunthorpe United last time out, while the Tykes reignited their play-off hopes with a 2-1 triumph over Oldham Athletic in midweek.

MATCHDAY LIVE - Scunthorpe United v Burton Albion

BURTON Albion tick another game off the list today as they travel to Glanford Park to take on Scunthorpe United in League One. It is another tough test for the Brewers, who have an eight-point lead over the play-off pack but have played two games more. For the Brewers, they will be determined to get back to winning ways having drawn two and lost one of their last three - last tasting victory in the excellent 4-0 win over Port Vale. Scunthorpe's last home game saw them beat Swindon Town 6-0, but their last game was a 1-0 defeat at Bradford City. Under new boss Graham Alexander, they sit 12th in the table, 10 points shy of the play-offs. You can follow all the action this weekend with the Burton Mail. We will be building the game up with all the latest Brewers news and views, and then we'll bring you every kick from Glanford Park with our reporters Ashley Wilkinson and Joshua Murray.

Matchday live - Burton Albion v Bury

BURTON Albion need to return to winning ways this weekend and they will look to do so as they welcome Bury to the Pirelli Stadium tomorrow. Having struggled over Easter weekend - drawing 0-0 with Oldham Athletic and losing 2-0 at Millwall, the Brewers need a victory as they aim to maintain their title charge. It will be difficult. Bury are 16th in the table but have already beaten the Brewers once this season with a tight 1-0 victory at Gigg Lane through an own goal from Jerome Binnom-Williams. The focus on the opposition sees second-placed Wigan Athletic travel to Shrewsbury Town, while Walsall in third continue their revival at Sheffield United. You can follow all the action from the weekend right here. We will be building up to the big match at the Pirelli Stadium - bringing you the very latest Brewers news and views - and then every kick from the ground as Albion host the Shakers. Keep it with the Burton Mail on this matchday weekend as the Brewers continue their push for the Championship.

Matchday recap - Millwall dent Burton Albion's League One lead

BURTON Albion take on Millwall at the Den today looking to build on their 0-0 draw with Oldham Athletic on Saturday. It is a second game in just over 48 hours for Nigel Clough's side and against tough opposition. Lions boss Neil Harris has already said he wants a hostile atmosphere from the home crowd at the Den and the Brewers will arrive in south London to take on a side capable of taking on the best in the division on their day. The Brewers' lead at the top of League One was cut over the weekend to four points as Wigan Athletic beat Swindon Town 4-1 to move within four points of the leaders, who could only claim a point at home. We will be covering the whole day, including the match itself, which kicks off at 7.45pm, on our live blog on this very page. Keep tuned throughout the day for updates from Brewers writer Ashley Wilkinson and Joshua Murray as Albion travel to Millwall.
