قال ديفيد كاميرون انه سيستقيل من منصبه كرئيس وزراء بريطانيا بعد غد الاربعاء ليفتح الطريق أمام وزيرة الداخلية تيريزا ماي لخلافته في المنصب في نفس اليوم. وقال كاميرون انه يتوقع أن تعقد الحكومة اخر اجتماع برئاسته غدا الثلاثاء وبعدها سيجيب على أسئلة في البرلمان لنحو 30 دقيقة اعتبارا من الساعة 1100 بتوقيت جرينتش يوم الاربعاء. وأضاف كاميرون للصحفيين أمام مقره في لندن "بعد ذلك أتوقع أن أذهب الى قصر باكنجهام وأقدم استقالتي. سيكون لدينا رئيس جديد للوزراء في هذا المبنى الذي أقف أمامه بحلول مساء الاربعاء.
