The M23 has been closed between Junction 8 for the M25 and junction 9 for Gatwick Airport in both directions. Highways England shut the busy motorway to allow UK Power Network engineers to repair a damaged overhead power line. The closure is causing severe delays in both directions and is likely to have an impact on roads in the surrounding area.
