The 2017 Major League Soccer season is here. Now under the leadership of Curt Onalfo, the Los Angeles Galaxy come into a new era with not as much pressure as before, but with a keen eye on winning the #RaceToSeis by the taking the competition by surprise through its new acquisitions in Joao Pedro and Romain Alessandrini. To do this right, they will need to come away with a big scalp at home to Oscar Pareja's FC Dallas, who are coming off a historic year, winning the MLS Supporters' Shield and U.S. Open Cup. It was a hectic offseason by Galaxy standards, but with a new DP in tow and depth all over the front six, they’ll be right back in the mix out West in 2017." Under Bruce Arena’s leadership, the Galaxy could always be counted on for solid performances throughout the season that would inevitably ramp up once playoff time came around. With Arena replaced by Onalfo and Robbie Keane retired, this Galaxy team has lost two anchors that practically scream “consistency” (and that's to say nothing of the other key departures like Landon Donovan, Mike Magee, Gordon, A.J. DeLaGarza and others).
