A-Level results 2016

The anxious wait for A-Level students is finally over as they pick up their results this morning. Thousands of teenagers in the city and county will be considering their options and the Leicester Mercury has a helpful guide to Clearing to assist those who may not have achieved their expected results or may have done better than predicted and can now look at further choices. The Mercury is also putting together a table of results from across Leicester and Leicestershire and will be updating this regularly throughout the day. Visit: http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/localeducation to find it. County councillor Ivan Ould, cabinet member for children and families, has sent out a message to wish them good luck. He said: “Best of luck to everyone getting their exam results today. Our aim is to ensure that young people achieve their goals - whether through a placement, higher education, or employment, today marks the first step towards their future career. “Pupils have worked extremely hard to gain these qualifications and I hope they secure they grades they need to take their next steps. Myself and everyone at Leicestershire County Council wish them every success for the future.”
