Energy Week South Africa is an International Gas Cooperation Summit (IGCS) that seeks to provide direction for Southern Africa’s gas market. The summit will be a gathering of global energy leaders including the DBSA, meeting to showcase renewable energy and gas utilisation and procurement strategies and working towards strengthening ties in the regions gas value chain. The DBSA’s presence at the summit is an opportunity to target them on their plans to finance Thabametsi in a ‘neutral’ space, where our objective would be keep up pressure on our request for the DBSA to dump plans to finance the proposed power plant.
