Counting is well underway in Thurles for the General Election in the Tipperary constituency with more than half the boxes opened at this stage. And, a clear picture is emerging with Deputy Michael Lowry moving clear of the field at the present time. Environment Minister Alan Kelly is struggling in line with Labours difficulties nationally, while Junior Minister Tom Hayes is also fighting hard to hold onto his seat. At present it looks like Independents day with Lowry, Seamus Healy and Mattie McGrath set to retain their seats. Keep checking our website for more.
