Old News Series 1 Episode 1 - "Wall Together Now"

Old News takes a very light hearted look at past events and places of significance by sending on-the-ground reporters across time to investigate. Old News is recorded live with a live (as opposed to dead?) audience in the RNZ studios Wellington, New Zealand. The episode is recorded just a couple of hours before it is delivered to RNZ's Nights program to be played at 9:55pm. The audience members are part of the recording and used to create things like crowds and armies or to introduce live sound effects and Foley. Some even get to play bit parts. It's a very risky way to work all round -- especially knowing you have to deliver that same night.
