Euro Area Summit on Greece
Euro area leaders are meet to take stock of the situation and set out the political guidelines for the next steps on Greece. Eurogroup meeting failed earlier to reach an agreement on the new 80 billion Euros bailout to Greece. However, it concluded on a list with prior-actions, additional measures and next steps towards the bailout loan. Athens should legislate them in the following two days and in the next week a new Eurogroup will convene to start the negotiations for the bailout programme from ESM. President Donald Tusk confirmed that the euro area authorities were ready to do all that is necessary to ensure financial stability in the euro area. The special meeting of the European Council, scheduled for 18.00 on 12 July 2015, has been cancelled.
