May 23 will witness the results of one of the most contentious Indian elections of all time. The just-ended Lok Sabha polls have been marred with controversy — widespread news of EVM tampering and switching, the Election Commission's inaction on several Model Code of Conduct violations and even violence in several parts of the country. Most exit polls have given the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies, part of the National Democratic Alliance, a clear and overwhelming majority.
