Boogle 2.0 is formed and plans the "Seeds of the future"

The youth shows great promise for the growth of the economy, infrastructure and the betterment of South Africa. Poverty and crime are major concerns in South Africa, with the crime rate rising, preventative measures are being taken which means more money is being allocated towards crime. Our project, Seeds for the future, aims at tackling social development at a provincial level, typically the Northern Cape. More money is budgeted towards restorative services than development and research as well as children and families. The virtual solution proposed is to collect data from different data sources and present them for the citizens to know where the budgets are allocated. The solution will present potential budgets to be taken away from restorative services and also forecasts the allocation needs for development, research, children and families related programmes. The team is called BOOGLE and is made up of Yule Thomas, Joshua Martin and Cameron Hannie.
