Live Blog: 2016-17 Ligue 1 Week 38

AS Monaco have won the 2016-17 Ligue 1 title and will most likely take it easy on Week 38 of this season, scheduled for Saturday, May 20, as this will be their last match of the year away to Stade Rennais FC. However, there are some clubs who won't take it easy. One of them is Paris Saint-Germain, who have a cup final to prepare for on May 27. This weekend, PSG host relegation-threatened SM Caen at the Parc des Princes and this will be, of course, our featured match in this Live Blog on the Stoppage Time. Other clubs, besides, Caen, are sweating it out. Olympique de Marseille can affirm their place in European competition next season with a win at home to SC Bastia, who will be heading to Ligue 2 with a loss. A massive upset by the Corsicans will ensure a miraculous survival. FC Lorient are in position for the playoffs but a Bastia win and a loss at home to Bordeaux (who will be in the Europa League alongside Marseille if PSG defend their Coupe de France) will see them relegated. And even if AS Nancy defeat slumping Saint-Etienne at home, the best they can do is the playoffs after winning Ligue 2 last season. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET. Our live blog begins at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. Keep it right here on The Stoppage Time, powered by Azteca Soccer, for more world football news.
