Live updates as Cleethorpes rape trial continues

The trial of a restaurant worker who accused of raping a woman in a Cleethorpes alleyway continues at Hull Crown Court today. Cristian-Adrian Lascu, 43, of Cleethorpes Road, Grimsby, told a jury he met the woman as they both walked home taking hold of her after picking her up off the ground and speaking to her with limited English. Lascu denies a charge of rape of the woman in an alley off Manchester Street, Grimsby, on February 9 last year.
